Scientific schools
On Chairs of InITCE there is available a significant potential of scientists which includes 7 Doctors of Sciences and 41 Candidate of Sciences
The basic scientific schools:
- Computer Facilities Chair : Transformation, processing and protection of the information on the basis of numeration systems with weight redundancy (the scientific supervisor - the Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, O. D. Azarov).
- Software Chair : development of new methods of representation and display of the information, and also means of increase of interactivity of information interaction (the scientific supervisor – the Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, А. М. Petuh).
- Intellectual Systems Chair: development of methods of the analysis and synthesis of robust linear and nonlinear systems (scientific supervisor - the Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, S.V. Yuhymchuk).
- Information Protection Chair: cryptographic protection of the information (scientific supervisor - the Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, V. A. Luzhetsky).
- Higher Mathematics Chair: development of theoretical bases of computer - oriented didactic systems of the organization and activization of educational activity (scientific supervisor - the Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor, V. I. Klochko).
Defence of Theses
For last seven years (2002 - 2008) at the Institute of Information Technologies and Computer Engineering (IITCE) it is protected four Theses for a Doctor's Degree (O. M. Royik, V.A. Luzhetsky, S. I. Perevoznikov, V. A. Petruk) and thirteen Master's Theses: О. I. Suprygan, O.V. Shaposhnikov, N. V. Sachanyuk-Kavetska, Al – Zobi Salim Issa Salim, O.A. Arhypchuk, A.V. Chorny, M. B. Hazin , Y. V. Kuzmin, M.B. Kovalchuk, M.S. Kurinny, S.M. Kuzemko, A.V. Snigur, О.М. Kharkov.
Research Studentship
On all Chairs of Institute there is Research Studentship. In 2008 in Research Studentship 25 persons studied. Professors O.D. Azarov, V.A. Luzhetsky, V. I. Klochko, А. М. Petuh, S.V. Yuhymchuk, V. A. Petruk and leading teachers: Senior Lecturers V.V. Voytko, N.R. Kondratenko, O.K. Kolesnytsky, O.N. Romanyuk, O.M. Tkachenko, Y. Y. Yaremchuk, - supervise over Research Studentship
Publications, Patents, Participation at Conferences
For three last years (2005 - 2007) behind results of scientific researches
- 784 scientific works are published, including 28 monographs;
- 67 patents of Ukraine and certificates on the composition (the computer program) are received;
- 276 reports are made on international and all-Ukrainian conferences.
Conferences
Scientists of the Institute of Information Technologies and Computer Engineering (InITCE) not only take active part at the work of national and international exhibitions, conferences and symposiums, and also organize carrying out of similar actions regularly. Each two years InITCE carries out the International Conference "Internet-Education-Science". The sixth International Conference "Internet - Education-Science -2008" was passing from October, 7 till October, 11, 2008. On Conference 162 reports have been sent from 258 representatives of 14 countries of the world.
From May, 15 till May, 17, 2007 in Vinnytsya on base of IITCE the First International Scientific - Practical Conference « Methods and Means of Coding, Protection and Compression of the Information » has passed. 71 report has been sent on Conference from representatives of 5 countries.
At InITCE the Inter-Regional Seminar "Technical Means of Protection of the Information" of Scientific Council of Ukraine’s National Academy of Science constantly functions.
Scientific journal
In 2005 at the Institute of Information Technologies and Computer Engineering (IITCE) the international specialized scientific and technical journal “ Information Technologies and Computer Engineering ” is created, the editor-in-chief of which is the Director of IITCE, Professor, O.D. Azarov.
In 2006 this journal is recognized as the scientific specialized edition of Supreme Accreditation Commission of Ukraine in which can be published results of theses on receiving of Scientific Degrees of Doctor and Candidate of Technical Sciences (the decision of the Commission of Ukraine №2-05/1 from 19.01.2006).
This publication meets all the requirements of standards for periodicals ISO 3257 and therefore has its own International Standard Serial Number editions ISSN 1999-9941.
The journal published three times a year. Languages of publication: Ukrainian, Russian and English.
